Mission Reports: Peewink Mountain
January 26th Colorado 4×4 Rescue and Recovery returned again to the Peewink Mountain area, a sudden hotspot for recoveries, to pull a wrangler back onto the trail that was resting against shrub brush on the side of the trail.
The team rigged up a side pull from the front and rear of the vehicle, and worked it back onto the narrow road in about an hour and 15 minutes.
Remember to have extra food, clothing, water, etc in your vehicle if you plan to explore mountain trails in the winter time. Tire chains can also be the difference between sliding off a trail and staying on it. It’s also highly encouraged to travel with another vehicle too, plus it’s even more fun with friends along!
