Mission Reports: Chinns Lake GMC
Also Saturday the 31st, a GMC Sierra was recovered from Chinns Lake with assistance from the USFS for traffic control.
The truck had got hung up on a rock in the road, broken the transmission pan which in turn lost all the fluid, and was unable to move under its own power.
The team jacked the vehicle up off the rock, used traction boards and stacked rocks and was able to pull the vehicle off the rock without further damage.
From there, it was flat towed to pavement where a commercial tow truck could pick it up for repairs.
