Mission Reports: August 2020

Multiple operations were completed over the weekend again throughout the front range of Colorado.

These photos are from a Grand Cherokee that had an upper ball joint fail on Loch Lomond, requiring some ingenuity and assistance off the trail.

And a Subaru that got hung up on a washed out section of trail west of Colorado Springs, needing winched backwards and pulled up through the impassable section of trail.

A 3rd recovery on Red Elephant Hill for a vehicle with a broken front drive shaft turned into the discovery of a disoriented hiker looking for an un-related damaged vehicle (with parts in hand to fix). That person was assisted to get them to their vehicle, as well as the original caller’s stuck vehicle recovered.

A 4th recovery of a Toyota blocking the Crystal Lake trail was also completed.

Team members were out most of the weekend helping stuck back country travelers in need!
